Biography
Sabrina Lee is a sewing fanatic based in Cary, NC. Faced with the lack of fabric stores in the Triangle Area, she was inspired to give a second life to beautiful textiles she found at local thrift stores. She has been refashioning old curtains, blankets, and other textiles into polished clothing ever since.
Sabrina has studied tailoring, pattern drafting and fashion design at Central St. Martins, the London College of Fashion and other universities in the London area. She has also attended a tailoring intensive workshop at the National Tailoring Academy in Dublin, Ireland and a couture sewing workshop by Susan Khalje. She is the author of several sewing articles (see examples here, here and here).
Sabrina handmakes every single dress with care at her home studio. She sells her work at craft fairs and art festivals in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. Follow her on Instagram for behind-the-scenes photos of ongoing projects and updates on upcoming markets!
